Marketing Letter Format in Chinese
While writing a marketing letter in the Chinese language it is important to pay close attention to the generally accepted format requirements by the Chinese marketing correspondence.

A perfect marketing letter should be short and to-the-point in order to achieve the goals for conversation building.

Different examples on perfect marketing correspondence in the Chinese language you can find in the Chinese marketing correspondence textbook for self-study ‘Supersonic Marketing Chinese Book 1 by Polina Shinkina’ http://www.lulu.com/content/e-book/supersonic-marketing-chinese-book-1/18847446 and in other Chinese business textbooks by Polina Shinkina on http://www.lulu.com/spotlight/polina985

Do you know any one with Asperger Syndrome?

I am the mom of a smart high school junior who has Asperger Syndrome.  We are looking for good small liberal arts colleges to consider for applications next year.  Any help you can give us would be sincerely appreciated.

Do you know of any students at MHC with AS?  Do you think a student with AS would be well tolerated at MHC?  Do you think she could be reasonably comfortable there?

Any responses, positive or negative, will be gratefully received.

The Verge: College Music Conference
Hey there,

I'm posting here to let you all know about a music conference that's in the works right now. It's called THE VERGE, and it's going to take place this spring in Boston from April 19th to 21st. We're going to get 100 bands (local, unsigned, indie, and national acts — of all genres) and have them play showcases in 6 bars and clubs all along Lansdowne St. (if you don't know the city, that's right across the street from Fenway Park). There will also be a conference portion where bands and artists will work directly with students to teach and learn about all different aspects of the music industry. It's going to be an incredible opportunity for both the musicians and students involved.

To make this conference the best it can possibly be, we need a little help, hopefully from some of you wonderful students.

First, if you are in a band or know people in a band, get the word out to them about The Verge. Music acts can apply online via sonicbids.com/thevergeconference. This is going to be an awesome conference to be a part of...most bands will get a handful of bookings on college campuses at the very least, and many more will be able to get enough bookings to provide income for an entire year. Like I said, AWESOME OPPORTUNITY.

Next, if you are a part of or know people who are a part of your college planning board, let them know that they can sign up for the conference at vergeconference.com. It’s a great place to see some awesome bands to play concerts at your school, and most of them come for not a lot of money.

So, if you know musicians or students on your events planning committee, please let them know about The Verge. Thank you!!!

P.S.-If you're interested in hearing more about The Verge, feel free to friend this journal vergeconference or join the community theverge_music.

Hey! One more question: Can we major in Chinese at Wheaton, and how good are the Chinese courses? I read on the website that both Chinese professors are "visiting", which makes me wonder if they might leave in the four years while I'm at school. (?)

Another prospective student : )
Hello everyone! My name is Ying and I am another high school senior who is hoping to be accepted to Wheaton College.

I actually stumbled upon Wheaton quite recently, which is really late in the application process. : ( It makes me sad because I really don't know much about Wheaton other than the information on the website.

I can't seem to find the answer on the website. What's the deal with Wheaton and clubs? I'm a huge Key Club junkie and hope to be in Circle K in college, but so far it looks like Wheaton doesn't have any clubs at all?? Please help me out! (I'm planning on using this information in my supplemental essays!)

Cheers! I wish the best of luck to all other high school seniors. : )

Anyone have the time to help out a struggling college applicant?
Hi there!

I wanted to apply to Wheaton by January 1st, however my college councilor wasn't able to look at my essay before vacation, and so only one other person (my study hall teacher) has looked over my essay for Wheaton. Do any of you have the time to quickly read my essay before it gets sent off? I'm just looking for one more "adult" opinion on the essay; i've heard it's best not to involve your parents in the college essay process, and I like sticking to that rule. It's a brief essay, only about 400 words.

Respond with your e-mail if you have the time! Thanks so much!

Filling Prescriptions
I was wondering if there is a Rite Aid in Norton that I could refill my prescription at? (That's the pharmacy I use now, and my prescription is already in the computer, so it would be much easier just to go to another Rite Aid). If not, what pharmacy do most students use? I won't have a car on campus, but I'm guessing I won't have to walk cuz of public transportation and all that. But still...the closer, the better. Any info??

Hello everyone. I'm a high school senior from Miami getting ready to apply to college. Currently I'm visiting schools in the Boston area. Wheaton is one of my top choices, though that could change at any time. But I was wondering if any of you have ever scheduled an interview there, since I have one coming up soon. I have no idea what to expect, and I still need to take my SAT/ACT this september. Would they ask you about your test scores? I have my transcript just in case. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. :)

i just had random questions about different things to do around norton. i hear that there's a walmart around somewhere nearby but how far are the malls and such? i basically would like to know what stores are within walking distance that i might be interested in. also, how much would taxi fare cost if you would take one to the mall or movie theater?

thanks again.

What happens now?
Well, I got through the whole first year seminar thing and sent in my roommate questionnaire form. Are we going to get anymore interesting mail anytime soon?

Someone mentioned to me that our RAs will be contacting us at some point...Is this when you find out your roomming assignment (Mid August right?) or earlier?

Summer assignment....yea, whatever lol.....

I also had a question about the dorms: Do they all come with carpeting or do we have to get our own?

new student email
I was accepted to wheaton for the class of 2010 starting in January. I sent in my deposit and received a sheet "computing at wheaton." I want activate my wheaton email address so I can make a facebook but I'm having trouble. It says to go to https://ldap.wheatoncollege.edu and to sign in with your wheaton ID and password which is preset to your b-day. I logged on using the wheaton ID they gave me awhile ago to view my application status. Does anyone know if we get a DIFFERENT ID for our email and when this ID should come? The ID that I am using now says it not recognizable... I emailed wheaton with this question too. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
